Back from the wilds, it's time to tally the votes.
Squarish version with tan foreground = 2
Wide screen, tighter crop = 7
And a couple of you were kind enough to say you like the image itself.

I've shot a handful of images with the long lens and at a considerable distance close over ground/water/whatever in
bright sun. The air moving with the heat does interesting things I wouldn't know how to replicate in an editor.
