The official 4th of July count (on the 3rd) is below though I saw a very
tattered Painted Lady on the way back to the car that didn't make it in the
official version.

I think we may have called it an Appy Brown and I spotted it at a junction
of a woodland and wet meadow so it could have been either. On closer inspection
the postmedian line is indeed jagged so the official counter, Russ, is
correct. I tried to have adequate dof and thought to focus stack but the
critter was having none of that.
