I meant to mention that your exposure rule is in the ballpark with the
"mooney f/11" rule. Just like sunny 16 says to use f/16 in full
daylight with a shutter speed = the inverse of the ISO, mooney f/11 says
to use f/11 on the moon with shutter speed = the inverse of the ISO.
The moon is an object lit by the full sun (daylight) but the moon's
albedo eats one stop. 1/320 is not far from 1/500. It could also be
compensation for haze the last time your were shooting.
