Remind me of an incident last week with two of my grandchildren. Wlliam (7
years of age) ran up to his mother saying "my tooth has fallen out. I will put
it under my pillow for the Tooth fairy." His brother Thomas {who is 4) said "
there is NO such thing as the tooth fairy!" "How do you know that "said his
mother. Quick as a flash he retorted " Father Christmas told me !"Que: every
one rolling around with laughter....Thomas by now getting agitated says "It's
true mummy... he told me!" Grandchildren certainly keep you on your
toes!!! Regards

Yes, in the US it's the "tooth fairy" who usually leaves a little money
in exchange for the tooth... also placed under the pillow. I looked
this up on Wiki and see that thre is a similar tradition that is almost
world-wide. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tooth_fairy>
