Jim,
I would suggest mixing Cayenne pepper with the bird seed. Birds are
insensitive to capsaicin but it will give a squirrel a real fire mouth.
They will quickly leave the seed alone. You can buy it cheaply by the pound
at Costco or Sam's Club.
