When designed in the late seventies/early eighties, the Cessna people
anticipated that the aircraft would have a single customer, they would build
a large fleet for that customer, and discontinue the model. The anticipated
customer was FedEx.

At least, it did not require much of a climb for boarding.
I have seen one or two come in here during Bonaroo week. They are still
in use for inexpensive charter service.

I always liked the Rockwell Twin Aero Commander for short-haul
passenger service, though it did have structural problems. Still an
attractive looking twin turboprop.
