The rope was sound. For some reason, the ropes on the swings were spliced
to the ropes hanging from the tree, instead of using single ropes from
swing to tree. The fraying is just the leftover rope that isn¹t
load-bearing. I¹d not have gotten on it if it looked unsafe; I¹m paranoid
about getting hurt because I¹m in pretty frail condition as it is.
