PESO:
In Bayamo, which is known as the Ciudad de Coches (City of Carriages), we
visited a factory that used to make horse-drawn carriages. These days,
there is not much demand for new carriages so they make their living by
repairing old ones, making model carriages for tourists, making straw
brooms, and repairing upholstery for cars. We bought one of the model
carriages for our son Tim, who drives a horse-drawn carriage in
Charleston. It only cost $15 but it is already falling apart and we
haven't given it to him yet!! Here are the photos:
