Hi Chuck,
In the 1950s, Piper normally used a Daytona White basic coat, with
stripes in colors whose names I have forgotten. This scheme was for
1957, and the second color was usually either red or a blue/green that
had a fancy paint name. It was the nicest striping scheme that Piper
ever used. We applied it to an older PA-12 when it was recovered, using
red striping, and it received a lot of compliments on cross-country trips.
By scheme, I meant the pattern, not the colors. :-)

C'mon, Jim. Same paint scheme and you give us a B&W image? :-)

The final image is from the airport, where, on some forgotten visit, I
spied a Piper Tripacer in the same paint scheme as the one I flew for a
number of years. I had to grab an image:

I'm not sure what lenses were in use when these images were made.
C & C welcomed.
