I had a wee dram last night. Compared with other single malts I’ve had, it was
a very lustrous and complex taste. At first I suspected I had made a mistake,
but sip by sip my opinion changed. There’s a bit of marketing on the box about
various taste components which I’m not sure I detected—especially the part
about sugared almonds—but it about a “warm finish” was spot on! Not too pricey,
either. I believe it was about $55 US.
I believe I saw some Speyside, but it was nowhere near £299.
