You said it. There's no way to know if it can be saved. many outsiders
don't even realize that Olympus doesn't even service OM anymore.

I wonder what it would cost to have it stripped and cleaned ?
I would guess these were manufactured in limited quantities,so John
may not ever have done a CLA or defungus!
You might imagine it would increase the price enough if it were
cleaned to justify repair?
