I don't have any of the X100 models, so the simplicity and size appealed
and coupled with a leather ever ready style case would mean I am more
likely to carry it around often as I did with the X-Pro1 and 18mm lens.
I see that the X100S is now around 850CHF and the X100T is around
1200CHF Mmmhh thats quite a difference but I fancy the silent mode of
the T version and I also think that I would regret not getting the
latest model. I agree though it would probably be not worth upgrading
from the S version if I had one.
Hopefully the X-T1 is back soon but I will be on holiday in two weeks so
if its not back I will need something before then.
BTW I think the dust spots are snow flakes

Photos look fine but for the dust spots in the 1st one Ian ;-)
what aperture were you using?
