Moose,
Turns out not to be as complex as I'd feared, to accommodate PHP5. only
two changes so far:
- replace all 'reference to new' with just 'new' (i.e., simply change
'=& new' to '= new') in includes/*.class.php
- replace Exifer 1.5 with Exifer 1.7
Have it running locally on my MacBook Air [after installing and
configuring PHP 5.4]. now to copy over to my external Web site.
I'd welcome a copy of your Darkroom template, if I may. Shall I send you
FTP site info, or is there another method of transfer you'd prefer?
Perhaps after that the arrow keys :-) .

But don't look to me for it. I just looked at the Singapore Gallery

Had to change hosting company a little while ago - old one just up
and vanished into the night.
New one uses PHP5, not PHP4, and Singapore doesn't behave. A project
for the new year - (re)learn just enough PHP to update Singapore
where it matters - seems the project's dormant and no one else has
posted anything updated. Scope of variables is the key issue.
Oh my! If you do so, you may want to start with my extended version of
the Darkroom template that includes much more EXIF data and Lat-Long.
And think about adding arrow key navigation. :-)
I took a start on adapting a slide show from another template that I
don't otherwise like to the Darkroom template, but didn't get it
working at all well. The internal coding structure of the other
template is very different.
