Didn’t say literal. Said rational. Added precise. Did imply that abstract is a
stop on the way down. That’s not necessarily so. Abstract can be extremely
rational. And precise. Digging in a little and going a bit woo-woo at the same
time, I would argue that it is both rational and precise for a healthy culture
to comprise many hearts beating, many songs singing, many dreams dreaming. In
my view, a healthy culture mimics a really good band jamming—it can go all over
the place, but to be really good, it has to be, well, really tight.
Loose shoes, good. Loose jams, not so much.
I could go on, but I won’t. <g>
