All those double Gauss designs can give really awful bokeh at certain subject/background distance combinations. I
thought my 50/1.8 miJ was worse than my late 50/1.4; probably about the same. The other champion is the 50/3.5 Macro.
Focus right down around 1:2 and background in the 10-15 foot range can be horrid.
