We were very concerned about selling the house but it turned out to be
unwarranted. Within 3 days we had 4 full price or higher offers. We
selected the highest offer but the buyer backed out 10 days later.
Within another week or so we had 2 or 3 more full price offers. We
selected a particular one that allowed us to stay in the house for a
couple more months before closing. The buyer wanted time to sell his
own house and our new house wasn't finished yet. Moving earlier only
meant that our belongings would spend a long time in storage at a very
high cost. It worked out for both of us. Unfortunately for the buyer,
he still hasn't sold his own house yet and has the joy of owning two.

I know we have a few more ahead of us. My guess is two years till the
next one. :(
The worse part, for me, is the buy/sell process of the house itself. I
much prefer just signing leases.
