Chuck's point about DVI being adequate is correct though, if I've
understood his meaning. If the monitor/TV has a DVI input, then that can
be used with a simple and inexpensive HDMI-DVI lead. I do this regularly
with a Raspberry Pi and a small LCD monitor with DVI.
