Perhaps the Boston area has a large coyote population. The only coyote
I've ever seen (outside of a zoo) was in my backyard in Woburn,
Massachusetts... about 10 miles north of Boston. I initially thought is
was a large German Shepherd until he got closer. But he was clearly
large enough to lend credence to the idea that eastern coyotes are
larger than western coyotes since they are a cross between western
coyotes and wolves.
