The Reflecta seems to be the same as this Paciific Image scanner from

Is there any 35mm film that can justify use of 10,000 dpi???
Also, from the Reflecta ad is this:
"With a resolution of 10.000 dpi, a dynamic range of 4.2 Dmax and an
extreme fast scanning time of 7 Min. for a color scan with 10.000 dpi
and 24 Bit color depth"
Umm... 7 minutes for a single 35mm image is not what I'd call fast.
The Epson review was interesting to me because of the new film holders.
"Epson says that it has redesigned its plastic holders for all sizes of
film, and that all holders now include an anti-Newton ring plate to help
prevent film sagging in the mount. This should help users achieve
sharper images as the film will be held flat."
From the images posted at DPR the film holders look to be the same form
as used in the V700. Perhaps those new holders will also fit the V700.

It is nice to see new scanners appearing as mine crumped quite awhile

available when the Nykon still sold new was a bit inferior, but know
very little about their products. This guy was released just this week:

Specs look good but with scanners they seem to correlate only very
roughly with reality.
New Epson flat beds too after over 8 year hiatus.

Moose is going to rescan a few negs so a few can be printed nicely. So
those will be top notch scans.
Just finished up a roll in my OM gear last weekend and pondering the
mediocre commercial scans to follow, Mike
