Your B/W version look a bit odd to me, I prefer a straight B/W conversion 
from PS:

If you're to work on the file again, desaturate the orange and yellow
channels after restauring the WB from the railings - nice clean file
for 6400 ISO BTW

I love that guy, wish I had been there :-)
