Yes, and they all suck!
News organizations today exist essentially to scare you, or at least to keep
you worried and on edge. Try a week without news. It will improve your life.
Don’t give me that rubbish about needing to be informed, etc. About 99.999
percent of news content concerns sabertooth tigers outside caves that are
nowhere near where you live, work or vacation. They are not going to eat you.
They are not going to threaten you. You cannot hear them roar if you walk out
into your dooryard. Their threat is brought to you by news organizations.
Newspapers are bad enough because they are being beaten down by the internet
and they are desperate. Television news is nattily dressed excrement. Yes, even
the BBC.
A week.
Try it.
