Ask Panasonic. I could speculate - have I read some explanation? But that's just the way it is. Turn on EFC, and flash
isn't available.
Can be disconcerting. Both Panny's have little pop-up flashes, Pop it up, it doesn't work, and all flash related
functions are dead. "OH, Right, I have EFC on. DOH!" First time, it took me ages to realize that.
