I don't think that I would have been able to cope with Lennon. Even as a
youngster I found his views quite difficult to accept.
I heard, decades ago, about the musical talent of Lennon and McCartney, but
their early work was plain populist. Lennon's later work was thoughtful and
interesting, but I felt that he despised his audience.
