I don't know what distance you normally shoot at doing concert
photography but at 150mm and f/2.8 the depth of field at 20 feet even
using 35mm CoC of 30 lines/mm is only 12". Tighten up to 4/3 CoC and
it's only 6". How often will you actually be able to shoot at f/2.8?

Depending on cost, I may end up going the other route. But I'd like to see one reviewed in the flesh first. I'd be using this for concert photography - if the slower one would do the trick, I'd consider it. But I'd definitely want to borrow/rent one and try it first. Lensrentals.com seems to have it now, so for $39 for a week, I may give it a whirl. On Fri, Aug 1, 2014 at 3:20 PM, Chuck Norcutt <chucknorcutt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxwrote:Why do you want all that weight? I don't care about the rest. ---- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
