Thanks for the test Moose. I'm working with the super of the local Nat'l
Pk on developing trail signage. I think that she'll agree to a test of
the QR codes at the trailheads. Apparently QR codes are ubiquitous in
Japan and to a lesser extent other countries in Asia. We get a lot of
Asian tourists. Many spillovers from BC. so it might be useful for
visitors at least. I suspect that many people in the US don't bother
with downloading the free QR code reader app since most marketing has
been for coupons and ads. I guess I'll put a hit counter on it and see
what happens. I ran into the director of the local BLM Nat'l Mon. at a
potluck Sun. and she was very supportive even to the point of mentioning
potential available $$ !!
You might check this one Moose. I'm putting it on the printed maps.

As for gps apps Chuck, Gaiagps is very popular for hiking etc. Download
an area and go. Yeah it sucks batteries. Good for navigation without gps
and for the occasional location check. Long term use get a real gps.
