The principal problem here is OM flash with no OM body to control it. I
pursued this for Mike because I truly don't understand what's going on
with the auto mode. As I showed, lowering the ISO does cause the flash
to increase its output. I have to do it again to convince myself but,
after doing this experiment, I tried a few quick shots after increasing
the ISO hoping that would reduce the flash output such as you'd want for
fill flash. It was really quick so maybe I made an error but two shots
with +1 and +2 stop increases in ISO appeared not to change the exposure
one bit. Color me mystified. Next time I'll drag out the flash meter
so I can measure the output rather than guessing at it.

All shutter speeds were 1/60 second. If I were to read all that, I might lose more brain cells than I can afford, so I've stashed it in the Flash file, just in case. Just struck me, though; if I were to do macro with OM flash gear, it would be T8, T10 or T28 Twin. CH's opal plastic diffuser would be another elegant solution.
