And I couldn't agree more about not bothering. I've spent far too much
time on this, and I'm still having to hack my way through every detail. Using
the overlays I created with FilterSim and just sticking with Corel Photo-Paint
works well enough until I get into the deep reds, then I have to resort to
glass. And then you run into this interesting problem with the camera itself.
With a 750nm IR filter at ASA 200 and f/5.6 the internal metering says to use
1/250 second, whereas it should be 4 seconds. I get the impression that the
metering function is extremely sensitive to red.
