Yes - I've had this. The fogging is over the outer surface of the inner lens -
the side facing the internal space. Sometimes the element facing it is also
affected. I've had both faces repolished on one pair by a Sydney specialist -
resurface and single coating. He charged by the surface on the demounted
lenses. It was not necessary to separate the tiny rear doublet.
And don't ask - he's retired. I found him by asking a television station
serviceperson who had to deal with a lot of damaged lenses.
I don't know what causes it in this specific way on this specific lens but it's
quite unusual. An even frost etching over the whole surface, nothing like
fungus.
