I’ve been using Perfect Effects for several years. It’s nice, and it saves time
in Photoshop. The latest version lets you apply effects either to the whole
adjustment, or just to the layer you’re working on. I use this with the glow
effects. As it turns out, a wee bit of glow often gives a photo a little extra
something that’s not readily apparent. Done properly, it gives a little bit of
softness to hard edges while still maintaining a very sharp image. People seem
to like it.
