I've tried to get a couple of those before, but they're definitely fast little suckers. From what I know, need really high shutter speed to stop the wings. Or a strobe. Flash is the traditional way from film days. With the higher shutter speeds and ISO capabilities of some contemporary digitals, I imagine one could get good results. I'm perfectly happy to have the wings blurred in flight.
