Both images are taken in bright sun (see shadows of bowls) yet the
exposures (at least as processed) are quite different. Initially, I
preferred the first over the second but couldn't understand why. I
thought the second with the woman's face and holding money was more
evocative of what's going on. Then I realized that I preferred the
first because of the brighter exposure and its effect on the color of
her clothing and the shellfish. I might change my preference to the
second if the exposures are equalized.
