Had an interesting - if annoying - experience recently with Amazon. I wanted a
book, contacted the specialist publishers to be told their print run had all
sold out quickly. Found that it was available on Amazon. One seller had it at
£16.04 with free postage. The cover price was £19.99. Book duly arrived in
Amazon wrapper. The cover of the book had a £4.99 sticker from "The Works"
attached! This is a remnants book chain. given that book postage is normally
about £2.50 somebody made a very good markup!!! The only consolation is that it
is a book that I wanted.
