While out cycling early yesterday morning I noticed that yet another plant
was in bllom at the house with all the succulents. This time, is was a
smallish tree with grey-green foliage that had burst out in a full wonderous
show of deep blue flowers:

Looking closely, the flowers have a small, brilliant orange stamen that
barely protrudes past the nose of the deep blue pea-like flower:

I have no idea what species this is, but I know for certain that it is not
native. Judging from the owner's collection it's probably a South American
species.
