I had a very varied week, with not a day spent in the office; 3 days on
business trip in Paris with a side trip to Metz to meet up with friends, then a
holiday on Thursday and a day off to "make the bridge" on Friday. I visited a
Star Wars exhibit, a winery, and as usual poked around the neighbourhood too.

Another very enjoyable tour. When I visited Alicante in 1961 and the southern
end of a loop through Spain, Alicante was a dusty, small, moribund-looking
small village. How things have changed!
Re: the high-speed trains, a question out of total ignorance on my part; are
the tracks mostly/all lifted above ground, out of harm's way?
