Chris touched on this, but I was surprised to learn that most of the forestland
you see in Scotland is plantation, i.e., tree farms for product rather than
naturally occurring forest. Joan and I wondered as we drove those first few
days at the incredibly straight lines separating forested slopes from fields.
Now we know. <g>
