Growing up in Mississippi, in the 1930s, red ones like that were called
"fox squirrels", because of the color. They were often a little larger
than their gray cousins. They all tasted the same. :-)

Squirrels in this area have strange genetics. There are normal ones, albinos, tan ones, and now this one. All are enjoyable.............and very well fed.
