Sheri and I decided that we needed a mental health break, so I suggested we
head over into Michigan to walk along the lake and grab dinner somewhere in
New Buffalo. The casino had sent a card for a free set of Chicago Cutlery
kitchen knives, so we stopped there and picked those up as well. I grabbed
a shot or two at the beach, but the beach there is kinda plain, and it was
harsh sun.
Sheri saw that the small movie theatre in the neigboring community of Three
Oaks was showing an indie film called "Particle Fever," a documentary about
the Large Hadron Collider and CERN. So, we skipped dinner in New Buffalo
and headed over to Three Oaks to take our chances on finding something cool
before the movie.
We did. Nice brew pup serving home-made steak pies and pasties, along with
beer and ale brewed on-premise.
Got some interesting photos both in New Buffalo and in Three Oaks. I
summoned my inner Nathan and Tina and asked a couple of folks if I could
take their photos, and they said yes...
