I like #1--more dynamic pose and what looks like a nice smile. Perhapsyou dangled the worm better in #1? Nice catch.

I like goldfinches--they really like the spent lavender so perhapsI'll have a chance at a few shots in late July.

NB The earliest photog prop bird sightings on record are as early asJuly of 1879.
