Been gone over 40 years and have rarely regretted the move. When I first
returned for a spell, in 2004, I had to learn to be English again. No-one
understood what I was talking about (the idiom differs). It struck me as an odd
place with bad weather, terrible traffic and worse coffee. I shall remain an
occasional and mildly amused visitor.
