I've thought some more about the picture

Maybe I should
have taken the photo from a bit further to the right. I don't remember
why I didn't, probably I did not like the composition as much. But I'm
reasonably happy with it as it is.
Seen another way, this photo uses
empty space as an element in the shot. It was intended in part to record
frost under fog, on mown turf. The line of the graves on the left draws
the eye to the rear and right, where visual progression is impeded by a
stone wall. So the focal zone actually is a vacant space. That's OK.
For the record, I took just 24 exposures, between 8.59 am and 9.32 am,
and in the process scarcely strayed off a line just about 100 metres
long, lugging my trusty Gitzo helper with me.. The camera battery was
nearly flat, and i hadn't noticed!
