Reminds me of a movie I was watching on TV called "Flyboys" about the 
Lafayette Escadrille.  Supposedly not very historically accurate (about 
some personnel and aircraft) but I enjoyed it nonetheless.  Anyhow one 
of the early pilot training scenes is spinning the guys round and round 
to get them dizzy and then having them try to walk a straight line. 
They're awful at the beginning but get better as their training progresses.
