No sure how you missed it but the word "bulb" does indeed appear in the
SLT-A65 user's manual. It's on page 84 under shutter specs.
[Shutter]
Type Electronically-controlled, vertical-traverse, focal-plane type
Speed range Still images: 1/4 000 second to 30 seconds, **bulb**
Movies: 1/4 000 second to 1/4 second (1/3 step), up to 1/60 in AUTO mode
Flash sync speed 1/160 second

That's odd. I believe it has the two-press bulb setting. Press the
shutter once to start bulb exposure. Press it the second time to stop
bulb exposure. I may run past the store on the way home tonight to
double-check this. (or not).
The word 'bulb' doesn't appear in the manual. Maybe they call it
something else. I'm done with research on this one.
