I was amazed at how safe they seemed in Vietnam. We didn't see a single
accident in the 3 weeks we were there. To cross a road filled with
thousands of motorbikes coming at you was daunting; however, the doorman at
our hotel gave great advice: Step-by=step. Don't run, don't swerve, don't
rush. Just walk slowly out into the traffic and all of the bikes will
swerve around you. It was true!!
