I understand how that goes, Jim. In this country, there would be a Tree
Preservation Order on it, and much effort would have to go into protecting the
house nearby from the effects of the roots etc . . .
We have an oak, albeit much smaller, near one of our buildings but it's
protected by TPO and we have to mitigate its presence by controlled lopping.
