Regarding gender of a small spider, Chuck posted: "But "he" could be a
"she"." She's a she. Hard to tell when the spider is young, but as it
nears maturity the end of the front leg-like appendages becomes enlarged in
the male. Put "spider pedipalps" into Google Images--there are some good
examples.
