Yes, the zoom ring goes the wrong way (the 14-50 drove me nuts in this
regard), and the focal-length spacing is also a bit awkward. I also
found the focal-length of the 14-50 to be rather on the short side
from 50mm. Otherwise, much to love--especially the contrast! Did I
mention the contrast? Sharpness is almost brutal.
Silvernosed lenses: 35/2.8, 50/1.8, 100/2.8, 200/4, 300/4.5.
Blacknosed lenses: 24/2.8, 28/2, 50/1.4, 50/1.4, 50/1.8, 100/2.
Trojannosed lenses: 35-80/2.8
Non-Zuiko lenses: Tokina ATX 100-300/4
Actually, the 100/2.8 isn't mothballed. It gets occasional use on the
DMC-L1, where it balances so well. I'm in the middle of my F2 love
affair, but that should settle down to my usual split loyalties this
spring.
I would say that my biggest regret in sale of lens was probably the DZ
14-54 Mark 1. To be honest, I would be up to my kneecaps in bacon with
an E-5 and 14-54 Mark 2. My second regret would be the sale of the
35/shift, but that was a decision where practical/necessity
overwhelmed my need of it. Fortunately, the new owner loaned it back
to me for a while.
It's amazing how much I've been using the 50/1.4 these days.
