Well, I am no fan of Putin. But I am no fan of Ukrainians either, with their
Nazi past and history of pogroms etc. So basically we have two nasties fighting
each other.
Russia did not invade Ukraine. They were already on the Crimea peninsula under
an agreement made when the Soviet Union broke up. The majority of the people
there are Russian. In fact, Crimea was part of Russia until some time in the
1950s when it was administratively moved to the Ukrainian Soviet Republic, as
it was then. So I am pretty sure that Russia will annex Crimea and the West
will not (and should not) do anything about it.
As for the rest, I am no Sarah Palin so I will refrain from making predictions.
