The GM1 was highly desirable before I bought the X-E1. I thought it (as you
say, in black) with the new Oly 25/1.8 (again in black) would have been the
perfect camera for my wants, and an excellent street shooter. To have such
(near-?)equivalence of IQ (to its bigger sibling) in such a compact form, and
with lens interchangeability... it's quite desirable and to me very impressive.
Had my specific wants not included a built-in viewfinder (I dislike the add-on
on the Pens) I would be sitting with one of these right now. Hell, it's not
that easy to stop anyway. ;)
It's odd, my viewfinder preference. With my iphonography I've no problems with
its absence, actually find it works with what I do there. I guess it's just one
of those subjective things that just feels right for me and so helps me be in
the right part of my brain to take the photos I want.
Moose, I love the colour in those primrose flowers, against the green. It pops
without taking out your eye.
Cheers,
