I used to spend every August on the vinyard, in my teenage years.
But the '78 I referred to was one of the reference barrels kept by my
brother-in-law a few kilometres up the road. We'll be forced to rely on the '85
from now on… :-(
I like Armagnac too and Calvados but I daren't admit it too loudly.
I once gave them a bottle of Jameson's each as a gift - they looked at me as if
I'd farted in church.
Bernard produces the fancy stuff in funny bottles for the Chinese and Russians.
Hmmm…I think I'll go have a Pineau Blanc - I've got a bit left. Probably the
only bottle in Australia!
