My first job out of college was in Big Bend. I was working for a research
institute out of Alpine and pretty much spent a year camping in Big Bend and
the Guadalupe Mountains doing critical habitat surveys for Peregrine Falcons.
Needless to say, it was a very interesting year. I've been back a lot of times,
actually I prefer the summer where, in the back country you don't see many
folks...I've saved a few lives of unprepared tourists.
I would love a Big Bend meetup!
